The map above displays the profits in the United States from 2011 to 2014.The sum of each state’s profits is represented by the size of the circle. The actual profit amount is also displayed on a large majority of the states. Although there are various states that are not producing any profit, other states, such as California and New York are generating large profits and make up for the losses that other states are creating.

California Profits

The state with the highest profits is California. California has a total profit of $76,381, which is substantially greater than the profits created by the other states. Additionally, the profits created are increasing year after year. Although during certain times throughout the year the profits are low, they never go below zero.

California Product Category Profits

The graph above represents the three major product categories and their profits in the state of California. The profits created are divided into three separate categories: furniture, office supplies, and technology. The most profitable category is office supplies, followed by technology and furniture. Office supply sales are substantially greater than furniture sales and relatively better than technology sales.

California Forecasted Sales

The graph above displays the number of office supply sales in California from January 2011 to November 2015. The sales for December 2014 through November 2015 are forecasted and are therefore only predictions based upon past data. In November 2015, it is estimated that the number of sales will be 49.
